With trails that wind up to the summit, you’ll get sweeping views of the city and Pikes Peak.
The paths are well-marked, so it’s easy to find your way around—even if you’re just exploring. Just a heads up: while dogs are supposed to be leashed, you’ll find a lot of happy pups off-leash here!

Along the trail, you’ll cross seven wooden bridges, follow a rushing creek, and pass through towering pines and red scrub oak, all with stunning views of the canyon.
Manitou Incline | Manitou Springs
The Manitou Incline is a true test of grit, with 2,768 steps and a 2,000-foot climb in less than a mile—making it one of the most challenging hikes in Colorado!
But if you’re looking for a less intense way up, the Barr Trail offers a scenic “easy route” to the top, winding through switchbacks and forested views.
