Which ZipLine should I ride?
Our family chose the Fins Course* and we would ride these ziplines again in a heartbeat! Our kids were ages 11 through 18 at the time. Our 11 year old didn’t quite weigh the required 90 lbs, so he watched from below with a Broadmoor Outfitters kids counselor and took pictures and video for us.
Your Zipline course guides will also take pictures and video for you, and you can rent a GoPro to record your ride too!
When you’re done riding these epic ziplines in Colorado Springs, you may want to head up Pikes Peak on the Cog rail, bike down Pikes Peak, or sign up for guided rock climbing, archery, and historic falconry experiences.
My family has done it all, and we’d do it again!

DYK? Ziplines are one of the safest outdoor activities with the highest adrenaline rush!
Riding these amazing ziplines in Colorado Springs is SO SAFE — probably safer than stepping out of the bathtub!
When we rode the zip lines, the guides geared us up, showing us how to wear a shoulder harness plus a waist harness. We were clipped into not one, but TWO cables on each zipline. Before you ride the ziplines, they run you through Ground School where they teach you a couple of hand signals and how to use a hand break (wearing thick gloves) - but know they have a secondary brake system as well.
Also, you’ll take a practice ride just a few feet off the ground while following the guide’s hand signal to brake before landing on the platform. While ziplining, your very experienced guides clip you into each platform’s middle post before moving your trolley to the next zipline cables. You are safely clipped in AT ALL TIMES, unless you are standing on solid ground.
Know that you are eased into each zipline — you start off with shorter zips closer to the ground, and then each subsequent zip gets longer and higher off the ground. In a nutshell, ziplining with Broadmoor Outfitters is likely safer than hiking the path below and taking pictures.
What to wear on a zipline
Tennis shoes are best (must wear closed toe shoes)
Rain Jacket (just in case)
Water Bottle
Snack
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Camera
They will lend you a small pouch to clip onto your harness to carry small items

Rock climbing in colorado Srpings
Join experienced climbing guides and spend a half day rock climbing at some of Colorado Springs climbing hot spots. You may end up at Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Open Space, or in North Cheyenne Canyon, based on recent weather events and the skills of the climbers in your group.
They will gear you up and you will be shown basic knots, safety and belay techniques as you tackle the Broadmoor’s Vertical Challenge.
We went rock climbing in North Cheyenne Canyon along a natural red rock wall called Tinsel Town. We hiked for a quick 8 minutes up a steep incline to reach the climbing spot. Belay on! We climbed up to heights of 60 feet before rappelling back down.
The guides were excellent teachers, very patient and encouraging. We had climbed many man-made rock walls before, but had never climbed in outdoor spaces, so this was a whole new challenge for our family to “find our feet” and go for it!
