For a slightly more developed option, Transfer Park Campground provides fire pits, water (check seasonal availability), and bathrooms, located about a 45-minute drive from Durango.
For those who prefer a more secluded experience, Missionary Ridge Trail #543 offers dispersed camping options. This trail is perfect during late spring through mid-fall, thanks to its lower elevation and sunny slopes.
